Accommodation at Chalet Tokaj in Veľká Tŕňa
Chalet
Chalet Tokaj with a capacity of 6 beds is suitable for year-round accommodation for couples, families with children, or a smaller group of friends. It is located in a quiet, peripheral area of the village, just a few steps from the forest. Inside, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, a 3-bed bedroom, and a modern bathroom. For preparing your favorite meals, you will have a gas stove with an electric oven, a combined refrigerator, a microwave, and a kettle at your disposal. Be sure to try traditional Zemplín dishes like cabbage rolls, stuffed pigeons, or sweet cherry dumplings — you will definitely enjoy them.
Rooms
For relaxation, you will have a traditional living room with a TV and sofa beds, which can be used as extra beds for two people at night. The night area consists of a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. For an additional guest, we will gladly prepare a bed that can be placed in any room. The chalet also includes a bathroom with a shower, a toilet, and a washing machine, where we have also prepared a hairdryer, towels, and basic hygiene supplies for you.

Even during your stay in the beautiful Zemplín region, you can stay online — connect to our WiFi network and search for the most beautiful places in the area. In front of the chalet, you will find a pleasant outdoor seating area, perfect for peaceful breakfasts or evening discussions over a glass of delicious wine. There is also a grill where you can prepare BBQ ribs, fish, or crispy corn. And if you can't imagine a vacation without your four-legged friend, bring them along — accommodation with a small dog is allowed for a small fee. You can park right in front of the house.

Tokaj begins just outside the gate
The Tokaj Wine Region is famous not only here but also abroad. You can go on a tour of traditional tuff wine cellars directly in the village or stop by one of the local wineries for a tasting. Notable mentions include Tokaj Macik Winery, Vinárstvo Ostrožovič, and others around the villages of Veľká and Malá Tŕňa, Čerhov, or Viničky. Several bike paths and hiking trails lead through the vineyards, forests, and picturesque villages.

Tokaj Tuff Cellars
In the village of Veľká Tŕňa, you will find 33 stone portals that lead you into historic Tokaj wine cellars. The medieval cellars from the 15th century, carved into the delicate but firm tuff stone, reach depths of up to 13 meters. The corridors illuminated by flickering candlelight provide an experience for children too — in some cellars, shorter tours are available that are suitable for families.

Tokaj Lookout
The observation tower in the shape of a wooden barrel stands amidst vineyards between the villages of Malá Tŕňa and Černochov, rising to a height of 12 meters. From the top floor, a panoramic view of the entire wine region opens up, with a telescope and information boards available. In the vicinity, you will find a gazebo and a children's playground, with asphalt paths and marked bike trails leading to the lookout.

Aqua Maria resort
The pools at Aqua Playa in the village of Veľaty are enriched with salt directly from the Adriatic. Here you will find a 25-meter pool for adults, a 10-meter pool with heated saltwater for children, and a children's pool with a water attraction. The complex also features sports and children's playgrounds, wellness facilities, and a snack bar.

We raft the Bodrog
Canoe and paddleboard rentals, organized trips to the surrounding areas, camping, and barbecuing by the river. Right by the pier, there is parking with access to electricity and drinking water. The Bodrog River is mostly calm and easy — even beginners can manage rafting downstream.

Mausoleum of Count Andrássy and park
The mausoleum of Count Július Andrássy in Trebišov was built in 1893 according to the design of architect Arthur Meining in the neo-Gothic style; the sarcophagus is the work of sculptor Juraj Zalu. The adjacent Municipal park of Trebišov, also known as Andrássy Historical Park, spans approximately 62 hectares.

Castle Veľký Kamenec
The ruins of a castle near the village of Veľký Kamenec, 14 km southwest of Kráľovský Chlmec. The castle was built in the 13th century after the Tatar invasion, refurbished and fortified in the late 15th century, and demolished by imperial troops in 1672. The corner polygonal bastion with cannon loopholes and a stone-hewn cistern has survived.

A wooden educational trail in the heart of the Latorica Protected Landscape Area runs directly above the surface of wetlands and oxbows, which you can observe up close as well as from a panoramic viewpoint. The trail was built on a dead arm of the Laborec River. You can enhance your experience with horseback riding, renting boats, or cycling in Lower Zemplín.
